I am Yasmine from Egypt. I studied Sociology and completed two diplomas in Special Education with a focus on learning difficulties, and now I am studying for a Montessori diploma. My passion for education started during my early university years when I volunteered as a teacher in a summer program for children. Since then, I have worked with many children, supporting them in their early learning and preparing them for school.

My personal journey played a big role in shaping my passion. I faced challenges during my own studies, including ADHD and Irlen Syndrome, and I realized how deeply the traditional system can sometimes fail to support children with different needs. This experience motivated me to search for better answers. While working with children facing difficulties, I found Montessori education, and it felt like discovering water in the desert. For the first time, I found an approach that respects the child as a whole human being, with strengths and weaknesses, individuality and potential. That moment became a turning point in my path.

I have worked with children from very diverse backgrounds – some supported by their families and others facing more challenging environments. I also had the opportunity to support children with special needs, which made me more sensitive to the unique needs of every child and convinced me that each deserves to be seen and respected as an individual.

That is why I was truly excited when I heard about Zahrada, Spolek Hnízdo, and their projects. I felt that this is a place where freedom, nature, and Montessori principles come together. Volunteering here feels like a great opportunity to observe, learn, and contribute while being part of a community that values children's individuality. The natural environment especially inspires me, because I believe it will help me slow down, find more balance, and grow both personally and professionally.

I am also excited to meet people from different cultures, build friendships, share my own background, and exchange ideas and experiences. For me, this is not only about volunteering but also about cultural exchange, discovery, and contributing to meaningful education.

Outside of my professional journey, I enjoy crochet, photography, reading, traveling, and self-development. I also love being active, going to the gym, and joining classes like yoga, because movement helps me stay centered and present. Nature, adventure, and exploration are also big passions of mine, which makes this opportunity feel like a perfect match
