Hello! I am Nishana Taghiyeva, A New ESC volunteer in Tisnov. I am 29 years old. I am from Azerbaijan, Baku.

Baku is the capital city of Azerbaijan. It is located on the western shore of the Caspian Sea. In Baku, you can experience a blend of modernity and history. In the pictures, you see the old city with landmarks like the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs' Palace, alongside the modern skyline characterized by tall skyscrapers.

My education

I have bachelor's and master's degrees.

Bachelor's Degree: English Language and Literature Teaching, Baku Engineering University

Master's Degree: Social and Legal Sciences, University of Córdoba, Politécnico de Lisboa, University of Marmara

Additionally, I am an English Teacher for over 6 years. I have worked with various age groups. I am passionate about education and fostering learning environments.

More about my master's degree

I graduated from the PETaL (Play Education Toys and Languages) Erasmus Mundus Master program, where I studied in three countries: Spain, Portugal, and Turkey. This unique program focuses on various academic subjects crucial for early childhood education, including play, toys, intercultural education, early second language acquisition, and childhood pedagogy. It was an enriching experience that allowed me to delve deep into fostering holistic development in young learners through innovative methods and cross-cultural understanding.

Why Spolek Hnizdo and Zahrada?

During my master's degree, I studied various educational approaches, including Montessori. While I gained a lot of theoretical knowledge about these methods, I'm eager to see how they are applied in schools. That's why I'm excited about this program—it offers the perfect opportunity for me to gain practical experience. Additionally, I have a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures, which I believe will further enrich my understanding of different educational practices worldwide.

Personal interests

I have a strong passion for experiencing new traditions and cultures, which is why I absolutely love travelling. Additionally, I have a deep affection for animals, especially cats. I have a beloved cat named Lucky who currently resides with my parents. Apart from traveling and spending time with animals, my hobbies include reading books, hiking, and immersing myself in nature. I also enjoy practicing meditation occasionally to find inner peace and balance.
