When Education Crosses Borders

At Hnízdo – spolek pro komunitní vzdělávání, we are proud that our schools continuously create space for sharing innovative educational approaches and connecting inspiring people across regions and countries.

As part of the Interreg Czechia–Slovakia project, ZŠ ZaHRAda organized the conference Montessori Inspiration – Learning in Context, which welcomed representatives of public and private educational institutions from across the Czech Republic. The conference created opportunities for exchanging experiences, discussing contemporary education, and sharing practical inspiration from Montessori pedagogy and other innovative approaches.

We are especially happy that the event also reflected the spirit of international cooperation and inclusion. Thanks to modern real-time translation technologies, our volunteer Yasmine from Egypt was able to actively participate in the conference despite the language barrier. Yasmine is volunteering within the European Solidarity Corps programme and is a strong supporter of Montessori education. 🌍

Moments like these show that meaningful education today goes beyond language and geographical borders. Sharing experiences, openness to new perspectives, and international cooperation enrich not only educators, but entire school communities.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all organizers, speakers, and participants for their energy, professionalism, and commitment to spreading the ideas of innovative education further — within the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and internationally.

Through projects such as the European Solidarity Corps, we continue building connections between schools, volunteers, and communities across Europe and beyond.
